Parent Council
All parents are welcome.

“If we do not believe within ourselves this deeply rooted feeling that there is something higher than ourselves, we shall never find the strength to evolve into something higher”
Rudolf Steiner
Being a parent council member is an excellent way to make friends and set up playdates while having a great time supporting the school events and fundraisings.
Meetings are generally held every other Friday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the triangle table if the weather allows. If it is raining or snowing, we meet in the Eurythmy room (Preschool building). Please be in touch with the office or read your week-at-a-glance email to check when the next meeting will be, as they may change according to events.
All the parents and guardians from Preschool to grade 6 are welcome to participate.
If you are not able to make it to the meetings but would like to support us during events, please let us know.
The Spirited Hands of Craft Circle
Parent Council also holds The Spirited Hands of Craft Circle.
This group is open to families, friends and supporters of our school. Meetings from 1pm to 3pm every Thursday in the Handwork room. People with all handwork skills - from “I don’t know how to pass the thread into the needle hole” to “I can knit a pair of socks with my eyes closed” - get together to share their talents, experiences, and time while making adorable crafts to sell in our open festivals.
The parent council email is parentcouncil@lakesideschool.ca.
